Google Drawing
Today we worked on multiplication as comparison in math. After solving some word problems I asked students to write their own Halloween word problem and solve it. When they finished, they used Google Drawing to create an image that supported their problem. This was a nice extend activity that allowed students to use their creativity and shapes to create a Halloween themed image.
Creating Arrays Using Google Drawing
Last week we reviewed creating arrays and equal groups as a way to understand multiplication. Students were responsible for creating a visual to represent multiplication facts. Students used Google Drawing and their creativity to show their learning! It took less than 5 minutes to preview Google Drawing before I sent them off to work!

Google Blogger Professional Development
On Monday, July 27th Jen and Melinda held their first professional development workshop on Google Blogger. We had a great time working with Jen, Peg, Kathy, Debbie and Karen!
